Hyderabad, June 28: Telangana Health, Medical and Family Welfare Minister Damodara Raja Narasimha on Sunday urged parents to ensure that every child below five years receives polio drops and said the government is committed to achieving a polio free Telangana.
Launching the Pulse Polio programme at Borabanda Town Primary Health Centre, the Minister administered polio drops to children and called for active public participation in the immunisation drive.
Pulse Polio Programme Focuses on Complete Child Coverage
Damodara Raja Narasimha said the Health Department and medical staff were taking extensive measures to ensure that no eligible child is left out during the campaign.
He stressed that timely administration of polio drops remains essential to protect children and sustain progress towards eliminating the disease.
The Minister said the government continues to prioritise preventive healthcare and strengthen immunisation coverage across Telangana.
Ministers Adluri Laxman Kumar and Ponnam Prabhakar, Rajya Sabha MP Anil Kumar Yadav, Jubilee Hills MLA Naveen Yadav, MLC Addanki Dayakar, Hyderabad District Collector Priyanka Ala, health officials, medical staff and public representatives attended the programme.
