Fancy numbers auctioned by RTO: TG09H9999 attracted the highest winning bid at Rs 22.72 lakh.

Hyderabad, Nov. 15 (Maxim News): : The Road Transport Authority is leveraging the craze for fancy numbers to raise revenue through e-auctions. Officials conducted an online auction under the Khairatabad RTO limits to select fancy vehicle registration numbers.

Multiple companies, traders, and enthusiasts participated to secure their preferred numbers. The latest round generated about Rs 65.38 lakh in revenue for the department. In the auction, TG09H9999 attracted the highest winning bid at Rs 22.72 lakh.

Meanwhile, TG09J0003 closed at Rs 1.15 lakh after competitive bidding. The TG09J0009 number was won by Dandu Energy Private Limited for Rs 6.80 lakh.

For TG09J0006, Sai Silks Kalamandir Limited paid Rs 5.70 lakh. Godavari Fortune secured TG09J0099 for Rs 3.40 lakh, while Srinidhi IT Space Private Limited won TG09J0001 for Rs 2.60 lakh.

Niharika Entertainment acquired TG09J0005 for Rs 2.40 lakh. Rohith Reddy Muthu purchased TG09J0018 for Rs 1.71 lakh.

Kondavarapu Srinivas Naidu won TG09J0007 with a bid of Rs 1.69 lakh. Meenakshi Power Private Limited secured TG09J0077 for Rs 1.41 lakh. Akula Madhuri took TG09J0123 for Rs 1.19 lakh.

Officials at Khairatabad RTO stated that the online auctions for fancy numbers continue to draw attractive bids and remain profitable each time.

The department said the method helps it consistently add to non-tax revenues while meeting the sustained demand for personalised plates.

Moreover, frequent participation by businesses and individuals shows the growing preference for unique registration numbers.

Therefore, the RTA plans to continue this auction-based allocation to match demand and ensure transparency.

The pattern indicates steady interest across premium TG09 series numbers, especially repeating digits and early serial combinations. (Maxim News)
