Farm House Case: Hearing On Writ Appeal Adjourned To Jan 6

Hyderabad, Jan 5 (Maxim News): The High Court of Telangana has adjourned the Moinabad Farm House case pertaining to MLAs Purchase till January 6 (tomorrow). The Division bench headed by Chief Justice Ujjal Bhuyan heard the government’s writ appeal against the single bench judgment of transferring the case to CBI.

Senior Counsel Dushyant Dave made arguments on behalf of the government in the morning, Advocate Gandra Mohan continued his arguments on behalf of Rohit Reddy who is the main complainant of the MLAs poaching case and the incident took place in his farmhouse after the lunch break. The lawyer of Rohit Reddy told the bench that the single bench court of the High Court gave the judgment without issuing any notice to his client. . He said that while the SIT investigation is going on in this case, it is not appropriate to cancel it and hand it over to the CBI.

Sitaram Murthy, who appeared on behalf of the proposed accused, told the court that the writ appeal petition is not maintainable. He reminded me that there is no possibility of a writ appeal on a criminal revision petition. He clarified that they will have to go to the Supreme Court on the revision petition.

dushyant Dave, who argued on behalf of the government in the morning, brought to the attention of the judge the objections to the single bench verdict. It was heard to the court that only after the evidence was submitted to the court, they went into the hands of Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao, Dave explained to the Judge that Pilot Rohit Reddy had told the court that he would have given evidence to KCR, but that did not happen. He said that due to communication gaps, they could not provide proper information to the court. Before the Chief Minister’s press meeting, he mentioned that the videos had come into the public domain. He said that it is not correct to hand over the case to the CBI using only the Chief Minister’s media conference as an excuse. He said that if there is a conspiracy to destabilize the government, it is his responsibility as the party president and Chief Minister to inform the people about it. (Maxim News)
