Farmers And ANMs Rocked Jagtial District Collectorate

Jagtial/Hyderabad, Jan 17 (Maxim News): The farmers demanding the cancellation of the Jagtial Master Plan and the Auxiliary Nurses and Midwife (ANMs) demanding the regularisation of their services and equal pay for equal work have rocked the Jagtial District Collectorate with protests for over four hours.

Farmers of Ambaripet and Hasnabad protested in front of the Collectorate to cancel the master plan, demanding the Collector receive their petition. When the farmers asked for permission to meet the collector, the police gave permission to only five people, when they went into the office, Collector Ravi was not available and handed over the petition to his Assistant Officer.

On the other hand, the ANMs staged a dharna at the Collectorate demanding that their problems be resolved. The protest continued for about four hours. They demanded that the contract system should be abolished and they should be regularized. Equal Pay for equal work.
