Farmers Forced To Sell Tur To Middlemen: Cong Kisan Cell

Hyderabad, Feb.28 (Maxim News): The state Kisan congress cell chairman Anvesh reddy on Friday inspected Tur purchase Centers set up at Bichkunda market yard of Kamareddy district.

Former MLA Gangaram accompanied him during the visit. Speaking on the occasion, he said that the farmers of the state were facing problems due to the lack of vision of the state government. He alleged that the farmers were forced to sell their produce to middlemen for lesser rates as there was an increase in the production of different crops. He said that the total area of cultivation was four lakh acres and added that the farmers got eight quintals per acre.

He asked the state government as to who would buy the excess produce of the farmers while noting that nobody has been buying the produce at the market yard since the last 20 days . He said that there was hardly any response from the Public representatives despite the sufferings of the farmers. He demanded the state government to buy the entire produce from the farmers without fixing any limit.(Maxim News)
