Fewer Funds For Education In Telangana: Haragopal

Hyderabad, June 24 (Maxim News):  Professor Haragopal, a noted Human Rights Activist said that after the advent of Telangana, the education system was destroyed.

Participating in a meeting held under the auspices of the Education Protection Committee at Sundarayya Vignan Bhavan in Hyderabad, He said that along with school education and higher education, the education system is completely damaged.  KG to PG education has been neglected.  He said that the Chief Minister does not have enough time to review the education sector.  The government is not even allocating funds for the education sector.  He alleged that less funds are being allocated to the education sector in Telangana.

Haragopal said that Telangana state is 20 to 30 years behind in the education system.  He said that the situation will not improve unless the next government works hard for a decade to move forward.  He said that there is no situation in which professors will be found in the Universities in the coming days.  It can be understood that Chief Minister K.Chanddrasekhar Rao is not finding time to appoint the Vice Chancellors in the Universities.

Haragopal criticized saying that the government would put those in jail who questioned, these acts are against the spirit of the Constitution.  He said that the government has filed cases against 400 people in Telangana.  The government is not telling why it is filing cases.  He asked what is the point of filing a sub-case against Justice Suresh who has given many good judgments.  Haragopal warned that if such acts are stopped, there will be trouble in the upcoming elections.
