Final List Of Voters, Photos Released

Hyderabad, Jan 18 (Maxim News): The State Election Commission released the final list of voters with photographs for 121 municipalities and 10 municipal corporations in the state. The lists are being prepared polling station-wise.

 Reservations have been finalized for SCs and STs in Telangana based on the 2011 population and for BCs based on the report given by the Dedication Commission based on the CPEC survey conducted in 2024. As per the Municipal Act-2019, 50% reservation for women in all seats has been finalized and GO has been given. The officials have completed all the arrangements to finalize the ward-wise reservations in the municipalities. The process has been done under the supervision of the Collectors or in the presence of the Municipal Commissioners.

A special meeting has been held with representatives of all recognized political parties.  As the ward reservations are about to be finalized, there is a sense of excitement among local leaders. On one hand, there is concern about which category their ward will be changed to, and on the other hand, there is enthusiasm to start campaigning if it comes in their favor. Especially if the wards that are general seats are reserved, senior leaders of the party will have to look for alternative wards. a gazette notification will be issued. Based on this, the State Election Commission will soon announce the schedule. Since there is a state cabinet meeting on Sunday, There has been a lot of excitement. (Maxim News)
