Hyderabad, June 16: A fire broke out in an open yard near a chemical manufacturing unit in Jeedimetla on Tuesday, triggering panic among factory workers and nearby residents.
According to initial information, the blaze started in a vacant area where old reactors belonging to Vasantha Chemicals had been stored. Thick smoke spread across the surroundings and raised safety concerns.
Workers inside the factory premises quickly moved out after noticing the flames and smoke.
Factory staff immediately began firefighting operations using extinguishers and water pipelines to stop the fire from spreading further. They also alerted the Fire Department for emergency support.
Authorities responded to the incident and continued efforts to bring the situation under control.
No casualties or injuries were reported in the incident.
Officials are yet to determine the exact cause of the fire and assess the extent of damage.
