First Time In History: GHMC Collects Record ₹2,012 Crore in Property Tax
Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has set a new record by collecting over ₹2,012 crore in property tax for the financial year 2024-25. This is the highest collection in GHMC’s history, thanks to the government’s One-Time Settlement (OTS) scheme and a strong tax collection drive.
According to officials, the total tax collected till 6 PM on Monday was ₹2,012.36 crore. Out of this, ₹465.07 crore was collected between March 8 and March 31, 2025, after the government introduced the OTS scheme.
This achievement was made possible by the hard work of bill collectors, tax inspectors, and municipal officials at different levels. Their efforts helped GHMC reach this milestone, which will boost the city’s development and infrastructure projects.
