Hyderabad, June 8: Hyderabad District Collector Dr. Priyanka Ala on Monday said extensive arrangements have been made to ensure the smooth distribution of Fish Prasadam and that every devotee receives the offering without inconvenience.
Participating in the Fish Prasadam distribution programme along with Government Advisor and former Rajya Sabha member V. Hanumantha Rao and Fisheries Corporation Chairman Mettu Saikumar, the Collector said officials were working round the clock to ensure the event is conducted peacefully.
Dr. Priyanka Ala stated that special measures were taken to ensure the Fish Prasadam reaches every devotee, including those at the end of the queue. She directed officials to remain vigilant and ensure that the public does not face difficulties while waiting in line.
The Collector congratulated the Bathini family members for continuing the centuries-old tradition of distributing Fish Prasadam. She praised their efforts in preserving the practice, which has been followed for nearly 180 years.
She said the district administration had been making preparations for the programme over the last 15 to 20 days. The arrangements are being closely monitored with the support of ministers, public representatives and senior officials from various departments.
According to the Collector, District In-charge Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, Fisheries Minister Vakiti Srihari and Fisheries Corporation Chairman Mettu Saikumar took special interest in ensuring the successful conduct of the event.
Officials from the Revenue, Roads and Buildings, Fisheries and Police departments, along with other line departments, have been coordinating their efforts to manage the large turnout of devotees.
Medical camps, ambulance services, power supply teams, fire services personnel, GHMC staff and Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board officials are continuously monitoring facilities at the venue.
Dr. Priyanka Ala wished good health to all devotees who received the Fish Prasadam and once again extended her best wishes to the Bathini family members for successfully organising the programme.
Additional Police Commissioner Tafseer Iqbal, Secunderabad RDO Sairam, Nampally Tahsildar Nayeemuddin, Marredpally Tahsildar Asadullah and other officials participated in the event.
