Flood Water Poured Into Nagarjuna Sagar Project: Water Released To Left Canal
Nalgonda/Hyderabad, Aug 2 (Maxim News): The Nagarjuna Sagar project is receiving heavy flood water. The Sagar looked as if the gates of the Srisailam project were being lifted and the water was being released downstream. With this, Krishnamma River is reaching the Nagarjuna Sagar reservoir by trampling on her feet.

The Nagarjuna Sagar project is currently receiving 3,34,462 cusecs of flood water. The full water level of the project is 590 feet and the current water level has reached 548.80 feet, the water storage capacity of the project is 312.5050 TMCs. The current water storage is 207.1416 TMCs.
Officials Are Releasing 30.712 Cusecs Of Water Downstream From The Project
On the other hand, the Ministers of Telangana released water to Sagar Left Canal today, evening. Ministers Uttam Kumar Reddy and Komatireddy Venkat Reddy released water for drinking and cultivation needs to the left canal of the Nagarjuna Sagar project. Teenmar Mallanna MLC, Raghuveer Reddy MP, Bala Naik, and Bathula Lakshma Reddy MLAs were present in this program. Water will be released for 11 days at the rate of 500 cusecs. (Maxim News).
