Hyderabad, June 5: Former YSRCP MLA Bolla Brahmanaidu was arrested by Cyberabad Police in connection with an alleged conspiracy to create a fake government order and claim government land in Gandipet, Hyderabad.
Police arrested Brahmanaidu in Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu, after he had allegedly been absconding for several days.
Bolla Brahmanaidu Fake GO Case Linked to Gandipet Land
According to investigators, Brahmanaidu was allegedly involved in an attempt to claim around nine acres of government land in Gandipet, located in Rangareddy district on the outskirts of Hyderabad.
The Cyberabad Police investigation reportedly found that fake land title documents related to government land in Survey No. 18 of Gandipet village were prepared and circulated on social media. Officials alleged that Brahmanaidu played a key role in the operation.
Investigators also examined financial transactions linked to the case. Police said the transfer of Rs. 1.25 crore from Brahmanaidu’s account strengthened evidence gathered during the probe.
A total of nine persons have been named as accused in the case. Police alleged that they conspired to illegally claim the government land using forged documents and fabricated records.
During recent searches conducted at Brahmanaidu’s residence in Narasaraopet, Andhra Pradesh, police were unable to locate him. Authorities said several accused had moved across different states, including Telangana, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka, in an attempt to evade arrest.
Police also stated that other accused, including Bolla Ramesh and Kovvuru Sunil, remain absconding. Efforts are continuing to trace and apprehend them.
