Four BJP corporators join TRS in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Even as it is preparing for the BJP national executive meeting in Hyderabad on June 2, the BJP State leadership received a surprise. On Thursday, four BJP corporators from GHMC and the BJP floor leader from Tandur municipality joined the ruling TRS in Hyderabad.

The BJP corporators from GHMC – Banoth Sujatha Naik (Hastinapuram), P Archana Prakash (Rajendranagar), D Venkatesh (Jubilee Hills), and Sunitha Prakash Goud (Adikmet), along with Tandur municipality floor leader Sindhuja Goud and councillor Asif – joined TRS in the presence of the party working president KT Rama Rao He welcomed them into the party by handing them the pink scarf.

If not a setback, the BJP’s loss of four corporators less than 48 hours before the top leadership arrives in the city is an embarrassment. Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently met with GHMC BJP corporators in Delhi to’motivate’ them for the upcoming elections and to ask them to serve the people.

On July 2 and 3, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP national president JP Nadda, and other top BJP leaders will attend a two-day party national executive meeting and a public meeting.

Chevella MP G Ranjith Reddy was present, as were MLAs Maganti Gopinath, Danam Nagender, Pilot Rohit Reddy, and D Sudheer Reddy.
