Four Killed, 17 Injured In Road Crash In Vikarabad

Vikarabad/Hyderabad, May 20 (Maxim News) : In a fatal incident, four persons died and at least 17 others were injured after a private bus carrying a marriage party went out of control and crashed into a truck ahead at Rangapur village in Pargi mandal of Vikarabad district on Tuesday.

The victims were identified as Balamma (60), Sandeep (26), Mallesh (30) and Ashwini (30), all relatives from different villages in Shabad mandal.

According to the police, the incident occurred when the private bus which was carrying about 50 persons was proceeding from Pargi towards Shabad. The victims who had attended a wedding in Pargi on May 16 were returning after the formal dinner at the bride’s residence on Monday night.

When the marriage party bus reached Rangapur outskirts around 2 am on Tuesday, the driver is suspected to have lost control of the steering wheel and crashed into the truck ahead.

The victims who were seated in the front part of the bus suffered grievous bleeding injuries and died on the spot and 17 others escaped with minor and medium injuries. The Pargi police are investigating. (Maxim News)
