Hyderabad, Feb.27 (Maxim News): Telangana Poultry Federation, Telangana Poultry Breeders Association, National EGG Coordination committee (NECC) and All India Poultry Development and Service Pvt. Ltd, are conducting free EGG Mela at People’s Plaza, Necklace Road, here on February 28 from 4 pm.
In the wake of false and baseless rumors being spread relating to coronavirus on the social media, consumption of chicken and eggs has come down drastically across the country and Telangana, said K.G. Anand, General Manager, Venkateshwara Hatcheries Private Limited.
D. Ram Reddy, Chairman & Managing Director, Sneha Farms Private Limited said to save the poultry industry from the rumors, the Union government has taken steps and issued a message stating that “Chicken and eggs are safe to eat, No Corona Virus will spread by eating chicken and eggs”. They said over 5,000 kg chicken and nearly 25,000 eggs will be used to cook different varieties of dishes at the Mela, which will also have entertainment programs lined up at the venue. (Maxim News)
