Hyderabad, August 6: The Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTCCI) has unanimously elected industrialist Vinod Kumar Agarwal, Managing Director of Mahalakshmi Profiles Pvt. Ltd. (MPL Group), as its Vice President for the 2026–27 term.
The election was held during the Second Managing Committee Meeting of FTCCI at its headquarters in Red Hills, Hyderabad.
Agarwal, who has more than 35 years of industrial leadership experience, has been closely associated with FTCCI for several years. During his tenure with the chamber, he has served as a Managing Committee Member and chaired several committees, contributing to industrial policy advocacy, sustainable growth, and stronger collaboration between industry and government.
Focus on Industrial Growth and Investment
Speaking after his election, Agarwal thanked the members for reposing confidence in him and reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening FTCCI’s role as the voice of industry.
He said the chamber has played a key role in promoting industrial and economic development for more than a century. He added that he looks forward to working with the President, office bearers, Managing Committee members, and stakeholders to advance Telangana’s inclusive and sustainable economic growth.
As Managing Director of Mahalakshmi Profiles Pvt. Ltd., the flagship company of the MPL Group, Agarwal has overseen the group’s expansion into steel, power, logistics, cement, investment, and leasing. Under his leadership, the company has emerged as one of Telangana’s leading industrial enterprises, contributing to employment generation, infrastructure development, and sustainable manufacturing.
Established in 1913, the MPL Group is among Telangana’s oldest business houses and has played a significant role in the state’s industrial and economic development.
Apart from his responsibilities at FTCCI, Agarwal has held several leadership positions in industry bodies. He has served as Chairman of the FTCCI Energy Committee and General Secretary of the Telangana Iron and Steel Manufacturers Association (TISMA). He is also associated with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and several trade and community organisations.
Industry leaders said his election is expected to strengthen FTCCI’s initiatives in promoting industrial competitiveness, investment facilitation, innovation, sustainability, and constructive policy engagement with the government.
FTCCI, one of India’s oldest and most respected industry associations, continues to represent businesses across sectors while working closely with government agencies to improve the state’s business ecosystem.
