FTCCI Launches Eight-Day GST Course In Hyderabad

Hyderabad, July 10: The FTCCI launched an eight-day Certificate Course on GST at Federation House on Thursday, drawing more than 60 participants from industry, finance and compliance functions.

Additional Commissioner S. Jaya Kameswari inaugurated the program and urged continuous learning for GST officials and practitioners. She said GST law evolves rapidly, and officials must update skills to perform effectively.

She added that the tax administration’s role includes ensuring ease of compliance as well as tax collection. Kameswari recommended adding Artificial Intelligence to future training, noting many officers already use AI tools to boost accuracy and efficiency.

FTCCI President Ravi Kumar traced GST’s nine-year journey, calling ongoing training essential for relevance. He asked participants to share knowledge with colleagues who could not attend.

Irshad Ahmad, chairman of FTCCI’s Indirect Taxes Committee, said the course is among the most comprehensive GST programs run by any industry chamber in Telangana. K.K. Maheshwari offered the vote of thanks and noted that GST collections now match direct tax receipts in significance.

The course runs on Fridays and Saturdays through July 31. Sessions will cover GST law, compliance, procedures and emerging developments and will be led by industry professionals and subject experts.
