Hyderabad, Mar 19 (Maxim News): The Telangana government has given clarity on the Net-Zero Future City, which will be a milestone not only for the state but also for the country. Finance Minister Bhatti Vikramarka announced in his budget speech that Future City will be set up in 56 villages between Srisailam and Nagarjunasagar roads, covering an area of 765 square kilometers.
He said that the FCDA (Future City Development Authority) will be set up to monitor this mega-urban project. He said that this city will have modern facilities like multimodal connectivity, electric public transport, and green buildings.
Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka said that AI City, Pharma Hub, Sports City, Clean Energy Innovation Zone, etc. will be in the future City. It is known that the Future City Development Authority has been formed for the development of Future City on the lines of Baldia and HMDA. CM Revanth Reddy decided to develop Future City as a fourth city along with the three cities in the city and formed the authority.
While 56 revenue villages of HMDA have already been included in the FCDA, several areas beyond the Outer Ring Road, Srisailam National Highway, and Nagarjuna Sagar State Highway have also been brought under the FCDA.
