Gachibowli Flyover Closed for Repairs: Alternate Routes Recommended

Hyderabad, Aug 9 (Maxim News): The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has announced that the Gachibowli Flyover will be closed nightly from 11 pm to 6 am until August 12 for essential repair work. Commuters are advised to plan their routes accordingly to avoid delays.

Recommended Alternate Routes

  • From Biodiversity Junction to IIIT Junction: Bypass the Gachibowli Flyover and travel along the bridge via Bicha Reddy Sweets (Telecom Nagar) to reach Gachibowli Junction. Continue from Gachibowli Junction to IIIT Hyderabad Junction.
  • From IIIT Hyderabad Junction to Biodiversity Junction: Bypass the flyover and take the bridge via Gachibowli Junction to reach Biodiversity Junction.

The GHMC urges all travelers to follow these alternate routes to ensure a smooth journey during the closure.

Shocking Incident at Vidyanagar Bus Stop

In a separate incident, an elderly woman reportedly caused a commotion at the Vidyanagar bus stop under the Nallakunta police station’s jurisdiction. Allegedly intoxicated, the woman threw a snake at a bus conductor after becoming frustrated when a Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) bus did not stop for her.

The situation escalated when the woman, angered by the bus conductor’s attempt to restrain her, retrieved a snake from her bag and threw it at him. The startling act sent nearby individuals fleeing in fear.

The police have filed a case and are investigating the incident further. (Maxim News)
