Gandhi Jayanti Celebrations At GHMC Headquarters

Hyderabad, Oct 2 (Maxim News): GHMC Commissioner Amrapali Kata said that Mahatma Gandhi was the great father of the nation who gave freedom and independence to India by fighting on the path of non-violence with Satyagraha as a weapon.

Amrapali Kata participated in the program organized at the GHMC headquarters on Wednesday to celebrate the 155th birth anniversary of the freedom fighter Mahatma Gandhi and paid tribute to the portrait of Mahatma Gandhi by placing flowers.

Speaking on the occasion, Commissioner Amrapali said that Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the nation, was a warrior who fought peacefully for India’s freedom with the principles of “non-violence” satyagraha. She lauded their efforts for poverty eradication and social equality and their role in achieving the country’s independence was crucial.

She said that Mahatma Gandhi’s life and thoughts are inspiring to all and everyone is called upon to follow in Gandhi’s footsteps on the path of non-violence, truth, and love in accordance with his ambitions.
