Inspections Target Waste Removal, Fogging, and Public Awareness

Accompanied by Zonal Commissioners Apurv Chauhan and Anurag Jayanthi, the GHMC Chief visited multiple locations across Kukatpally and Khairatabad to review ongoing field-level sanitation activities.

The inspections focused on:

  • Timely removal of municipal waste
  • Anti-larval and mosquito fogging operations
  • Cleanliness in parks, residential colonies, and waterlogged areas
  • Public health awareness drives

In the Khairatabad circle, the Commissioner reviewed progress in Ameerpet, Panjagutta, and Begumpet, urging officials to remain vigilant in curbing seasonal disease outbreaks caused by stagnant water and poor sanitation.

Monsoon Sanitation Drive Active in All 150 Wards

Commissioner Karnan informed that the special sanitation programme, launched on July 29, will continue until August 8 across all 150 wards under GHMC jurisdiction. The initiative aims to curb the spread of seasonal diseases such as dengue, malaria, and viral fevers that typically spike during the monsoon.
