GHMC garbage truck hits bike, one died on the spot

Hyderabad, December 31: One person died on the spot and two others were injured when a rashly driven GHMC garbage carrying truck hit the motorcycle they were riding on at Keesara on Thursday late night.

The victim is identified as Ch.Ganesh (20), a private employee and the injured is Ch.Rajesh (22), a private employee, both residents of Keesara in Medchal-Malkajgiri district.

Police said the incident occurred when the duo was returning from work. When they reached Bandlaguda ‘X’ road, the garbage truck being driven rashly from RGK colony road towards Bandlaguda, hit their bike.

“Both fell on the road and Ganesh came under the rear tyre of the garbage truck and died on the spot. Rajesh suffered injuries and was shifted to the hospital,” said an official adding the truck driver Bhupal Raj too was critically injured in the mishap.

The Keesara police are investigating.
