GHMC Making Efforts to create a pleasant environment in the city

Hyderabad, August 26: GHMC Commissioner Ronald Rose said that efforts are being made to make the city a leafy green city and a clean and pleasant environment for the people. On the occasion of the end of the Independence Diamond Festival, as part of the crore sapling program directed by the State Chief Minister, Mushirabad MLAs along with Mutha Gopal planted saplings at GHMC Commissioner Ronald Rose VST on Saturday.

Speaking on this occasion, the Commissioner said that as part of the target to plant one crore saplings in the state, the target of 1 lakh 30 thousand set by the GHMC has been exceeded. The commissioner explained that state ministers, legislators, legislative council members, MPs and corporators participated in this program and 1 lakh 50 thousand saplings were planted in 292 locations out of the 1 lakh 30 thousand prescribed under the GHMC.

Commissioner Ronald Rose said that the Harita Haram program for Telangana, which was undertaken to improve the environment and reduce vehicular pollution, was made possible.

UBD Additional Commissioner V Krishna, Director Srinivas Rao, DD Raj Kumar and others participated in this program.
