GHMC mayor asks officials to complete nala works in three months

Hyderabad, Feb.15 (Maxim News): GHMC Mayor G. Vijayalaxmi today asked the officials of the corporation to complete all works related to nala development in the next month period. She said that the state government had taken up 52 development works at a cost of ₹858 crore in order to prevent floods in all low lying Areas of the corporation. Level review meeting after inspecting the ongoing nala works at Bandlaguda tank in LB nagar zone along with Local MLA D. Sudheer reddy.

Speaking on the occasion she said that they had taken up ten works at a cost of ₹114 crore in the LB nagar zone. She asked the officials to not sanction leave to anybody for the next three months . She said that the officials should work hard to ensure that all package works were given to the contract agency after the completion of the tender process. She asked the officials to set up a consultancy to carry out security audit in order to avoid any untoward incident in future.

Talking about strategic road development program, she asked the officials to speed up the pending works of 7 remaining roads. She asked the town planning officials to take steps to remove encroachments from the roads. She asked the officials to put a special focus on sanitation and added that the AMOHs of the corporation should take up this responsibility. She said that the sanitation workers should wear safety kits ,follow dress code and biometric attendance.

Earlier the mayor distributed fruits to patients at Vanasthalipuram government hospital to celebrate the birthday of the chief minister of the state KCR along with the MLA. (Maxim News)
