Despite multiple notices being issued to the hotel’s management, they reportedly failed to respond. Officials stated that even after granting a final two-day deadline, the management did not take any action. As a result, GHMC proceeded with the seizure of the property on Thursday morning.
Authorities emphasized that the hotel management had been given several opportunities to clear the dues, but their lack of response necessitated this action.
The seizure follows GHMC’s ongoing efforts to recover pending property taxes from commercial establishments across the city.
More details are awaited.
