Godavari River Water Level Rises Sharply at Bhadrachalam Amid Heavy Rains
Bhadrachalam/Hyderabad, July 5 (Maxim News): The Godavari River is witnessing a significant rise in water levels at Bhadrachalam, triggered by continuous rainfall across Telangana and heavy inflows from upstream areas.
According to the Central Water Commission (CWC) officials, the water level, which was around 4 feet just a week ago, surged to 14.5 feet by Friday morning and has now reached 20 feet. Authorities warn that the river level may continue to rise in the coming hours.

With the increase in water levels, floodwaters have reached the bathing ghats, raising concerns for local residents and pilgrims. Officials are closely monitoring the situation and may issue alerts if the river crosses warning levels.
Residents living in low-lying areas near the river have been advised to stay alert and follow instructions issued by local authorities, as further rainfall in the region could worsen the situation.
