Governor Greets People on Telangana Liberation Day

Hyderabad: Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan on Friday extended her greetings to the Telangana people on the occasion of the ‘Telangana Liberation Day’ being observed on September 17 every year.

She took to Twitter and said, “My heartiest wishes to all people of Telangana on the occasion of Hyderabad Vimochana Dinam being celebrated on 17th September. I appeal to all to celebrate Hyderabad Vimochana Dinam & pay rich tributes to the Martyrs, who made supreme sacrifices in the freedom struggle.”

సెప్టెంబర్ 17 న హైదరాబాద్ విమోచన దినం జరుపుకుంటున్న సందర్భంగా తెలంగాణ ప్రజలందరికీ నా హృదయపూర్వక శుభాకాంక్షలు.

స్వాతంత్య్ర పోరాటంలో అత్యున్నత త్యాగాలు చేసిన అమరవీరులకు ఘనంగా నివాళులు అర్పించాలని నేను అందరికీ విజ్ఞప్తి చేస్తున్నాను.#Vimochanadinam

It is known that India became free nation on August 15, 1947 and erstwhile Hyderabad got freedom on September 17, 1948.
