Hyderabad, Aug 15, (Maxim News): Governor Jishnu Dev Varma marked Independence Day by hoisting the National Flag in front of the historic Durbar Hall at Raj Bhavan, Hyderabad, on Thursday.

Governor Addressed The Gathering

In his address, the Governor emphasized the significance of Independence Day as a sacred occasion to honor and celebrate India’s hard-won freedom. He reflected on the nation’s journey since independence, highlighting the sacrifices of countless patriots who fought for the country’s liberation; Independence Day is a time to remember and celebrate our history—a tale of unwavering resolve and selfless sacrifices.

Over the past seven decades, India has embarked on an incredible journey of development and self-reliance. Despite doubts about our ability to maintain unity amidst our diversity, we have proven that this diversity is our greatest strength,” Governor Varma stated.

Governor Hoisted the National Flag at Raj Bhavan In Hyderabad

The Governor urged every Indian to take pride in the nation and work tirelessly towards the rapid development of both the country and the state of Telangana.

Following the flag hoisting, Governor Varma took the guard of honor and extended his Independence Day greetings to the Raj Bhavan officers, staff, children from Raj Bhavan School, police, and security personnel. He also personally distributed sweets to the children and staff members present at the event.

The ceremony was attended by Principal Secretary to the Governor, Burra Venkatesham, along with other senior officials and staff members. (Maxim News)
