Govinda was recently seen at Mumbai’s Lalbaugcha Raja with actress and comedian Komal Rani Swarnkar, his co-star in the upcoming film Roopa. Soon after, Sunita made remarks about human relationships while speaking to paparazzi about her pet dog, Winter.
Sunita did not mention Govinda or Komal by name. However, her comments about people being “dhokebaaz” or deceitful were widely interpreted on social media as a possible reference to the ongoing speculation surrounding her marriage.

The remarks came shortly after videos of Govinda and Komal from Lalbaugcha Raja went viral. In one video, Komal was seen with vermilion on her forehead and hairline. A longer version indicated that vermilion placed near the deity had apparently fallen on her while she was seeking blessings.
Neither Govinda nor Komal has publicly confirmed that they are in a relationship. Govinda has also previously objected to reports alleging that he and Komal secretly married.
Fresh Attention on Govinda and Sunita’s Marriage
The latest developments come after months of public speculation about Govinda and Sunita’s marriage. Sunita had earlier filed a divorce petition, but Govinda’s manager Shashi Sinha confirmed in August that she had withdrawn it.
Sinha said there was no separation between the couple and described the withdrawal of the petition as positive news.
Sunita has also recently spoken about her marriage and said she had no regrets about marrying Govinda. She recalled being deeply in love with him and said she still values the relationship, while also discussing self-respect and living her own life.
During the Ganpati celebrations, Govinda and Sunita were also seen separately. Sunita had earlier indicated that Govinda would visit Ganpati after returning from the United States. He later visited Lalbaugcha Raja and was subsequently seen at his home with their children, Tina and Yashvardhan.
The couple has been married since 1987 and has two children. Their personal life has attracted renewed public attention following the divorce petition, its withdrawal and speculation surrounding Govinda’s equation with Komal.
