Govt Taking All Steps For Development Of Roads In State—Minister
Hyderabad, March 11 (Maxim News): Roads and buildings minister Vemula prashant reddy said state government was taking all steps for all round development of roads in Telangana. He made these remarks while replying to questions raised by the members in the State Assembly during question hour.
The Minister said that the chief minister KCR was working hard for the development of roads and construction of bridges in the state. He revealed that the state government had spent Rs.10,000 crore for construction of new roads and bridges in the state so far. He also said that they had taken up the development works of 7450 Km long roads in the state. He also said that they had taken up laying of two lane roads to all mandal headquarters of the state.
He said that the state government was also giving priority to the construction of bridges on canals and added that they built 400 bridges over canals by spending Rs.300 crore so far. He also said that they had taken up the construction of 26 major bridges on the rivers of the state at a cost of Rs.984 crore and added that 16 of the total bridges have already been completed so far. He said that they were also building high level bridges in place of low level bridges that bring trouble during the rainy season. (Maxim news)
