Govt Will Develop Budhist Spots: Srinivas
Hyderabad, May 18 (Maxim News): Tourism Minister V Srinivas Goud said that Budhist places in Telangana will be developed into tourist spots. He was participating at 2563 Budha Jayanti at Budha Vanam in Nagarjuna Sagar here with officials concerned. Paying tributes to Budha, the minister said that the government is keen to develop about 50 Budhist spots in Telangana and attract tourists.
Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has released Rs 25 cr for Budha Vanam project and works are on at international level the minister said. We will urge the chief minister to take steps to develop these spots to attract national and international tourists.
The government will extend all support to form a university attached to the project. KCR has asked for setting up a varsity on Budhism studies. Any findings and evidence of Budha has to be preserved with the project he said.
