Guv Asks KCR To Be A Caretaker CM

Hyderabad, Sept.6 (Maxim News): The Governor of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, ESL Narsimhan today advised K Chandrasekhar Rao to continue as caretaker Chief Minister of Telangana State. With this, the four years three months and four days of the Assembly has to come to an end. The first elected Legislative Assembly of Telangana State has come to an end. KCR, who took over as the first chief minister of Telangana State on June 2, 2014 and ended up on September 6, 2018 as he cancelled the House by eight months.

Earlier the Governor accepted the copy of dissolution of the Assembly by KCR, resigned as the Chief Minister and his cabinet colleagues followed suit. Raj Bhavan has issued a notification in this regard.

A Raj Bhavan communiqué released on Thursday said the Governor has accepted the recommendation of dissolution by the cabinet and the copy given by K Chandrasekhar Rao. Narasimhan asked him to continue as caretaker chief minister. This will pave way the early elections. He also said the Governor has advised KCR to continue as caretaker Chief Minister until the next government comes into force. The Council of Ministers has dissolved the Telangana Assembly. Narasimihan directed Chandrashekhar Rao and the Council of Minister to continue in office as a Caretaker Government. (Maxim News)
