Hajj 2022: Provided all Facilities to Haj Pilgrims: Mahmood Ali

Hajj2022 | Mohammed Mahmood Ali, Minister for Home, Government of Telangana convened a meeting on Monday in his Office Chambers at Lakdikapul, Hyderabad to discuss on the arrangements, facilities & amenities to be provided to Haj Pilgrims of Telangana State at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Shamshabad, Hyderabad with the GMR authorities and Haj Committee.

Home Minister informed that in the wake of Hajj-2022, about 3016 Pilgrims from Telangana State will be leaving RGIA, Shamshabad, Hyderabad from 20th June, 2022 to 30th June, 2022 for Jeddah  for performing Haj at Madina and return from 28th July, 2022 to 6th August, 2022 to Hyderabad for which State Government under the dynamic leadership of K.Chandrasekhar Rao, Chief Minister have made elaborate arrangements for their smooth travel, accommodation for performing Haj.

Mohammed Mahmood Ali said, during the meeting it was discussed for provision of exclusive counters for screening of hand baggage, immigration and security checks separately for Male and Female Pilgrim and sitting arrangements for about 330 Pilgrims before boarding of Flight, Aerobridge facility for senior citizens.

He said that it was also requested of the GMR officials for provision of space for storage of Zam Zam Cans and Food packages for distribution of pilgrims. GMR authorities were also asked to arrange for smooth movement of pilgrims from prayer area to Immigration Counters, Provision of Medical Desk inside the main terminal, provision for smooth movement of pilgrim buses outside the terminal, provision of free parking facility to the relatives, baggage handling including provision of baggage conveyor belt and Shelter for about 500 persons on arrival side, Mohammed Mahmood Ali said.

Home Minister also said that it was also requested to waive off the UDF Charges of the Haz Pilgrims and the GMR authorities have assured of taking all measures for provision of facilities and amenities requested for including required arrangements.
