Ramadan and Its Importance

Ramadan is a holy month for Muslims, during which they fast from dawn to dusk and dedicate more time to prayer, charity, and self-discipline. They pray five times a day, and during Ramadan, they also perform a special prayer called Taraweeh at night.

The month of fasting is divided into three parts:

  • The first 10 days are believed to bring Allah’s mercy.
  • The next 10 days are for the forgiveness of sins.
  • The last 10 days are for salvation from hellfire.

In the final days of Ramadan, some Muslims also observe Itikaf, where they stay in a mosque for deep prayer and recitation of the Quran.
