Hyderabad, Oct.1 (Maxim News): IGST council meeting comprising group of ministers today instructed officials to prepare details of report seeking the centre to clear Rs 25000 cr arrears to the state.
The meeting sought the centre to clear the arrears to the states as per GST council norms. Telangana finance minister T Harish Rao has attended the same as other members from states participated.
He asked them centre to release immediately Rs 2638 cr to Telangana and Rs 1000 cr annual returns. Harish Rao said that CAG in its report to parliament has said that the centre has used GST funds of the states to considered funds. IGST convenor and Bihar Deputy Chief Minister, Sushil Modi has agreed to urge the centre for the arrears to the states.
He directed officials to give a report of details to be submitted to the centre. The finance ministers of the member states attended were Delhi, Punjab, Charlttisgarh, Odisha and Tamil Nadu. (Maxim News)
