Hyderabad, Feb.11 (Maxim News): The High Court here asked State Election Commission to submit details related to Tukkuguda municipal poll in which TRS MP K Keshav Rao had violated norms and cast his vote as an ex-officio member.
Following an appeal by eight BJP leaders, the court admitted the petition to get to know of the facts and charges on poll violations. They contended that Keshav Rao was an MP from Andhra Pradesh and was not supposed to vote in Telangana. The BJP leaders also sought action against the municipal commissioner for the poll code violations. The court heard the case and directed the State Election Commission counsel to give all details.
The TRS had won the municipal elections in Tukkuguda in which the BJP and the Congress parties managed to get single digit seats. (Maxim News)
