Hyderabad, Dec. 8 (Maxim News): The Telangana High Court stayed the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) order that directed the allocation of IAS officer Amrapali to Telangana.
The interim stay halted the implementation of the CAT ruling and created a temporary pause in the allocation process. The court issued the order after reviewing the petition filed against the earlier directive. The High Court observed that the matter required detailed examination before further action.
As a result, the ruling granted interim relief to the petitioners challenging the CAT decision. The development placed a legal hurdle before the officer’s proposed allocation to the state.
The court instructed IAS officer Amrapali to file her counter in response to the petitions. It stated that the next hearing would take place after six weeks.
Consequently, the allocation issue will remain pending until arguments resume. The High Court made it clear that no further steps should be taken during the interim period. The matter again drew public attention as the officer’s allocation has seen repeated legal scrutiny.
Officials noted that the stay will remain in force until the court completes the next stage of examination. Meanwhile, administrative teams will wait for clarity before moving forward with any allocation related decisions. The High Court’s interim order highlighted the need for procedural compliance in service allocation disputes.
It also underlined the importance of ensuring that contested decisions are examined thoroughly. The case is expected to continue drawing interest until the next hearing. (Maxim News)
