Health Department Promotions: Three Dy Directors elevated; 36 Civil Surgeons promoted
Health Department Promotions | Hyderabad, Nov. 4 (Maxim News): The Telangana government has issued orders for large-scale promotions in the Medical and Health Department, elevating 36 Deputy Civil Surgeons and Civil Assistant Surgeons to the post of Civil Surgeon under the general line for 2024–25, alongside key cadre upgrades to improve statewide services.
The official notification, G.O.Rt.No.523, was released on November 3, 2025, by Dr. Christina Z. Chongthu, Secretary to Government (Health, Medical & Family Welfare Department).
The move aims to strengthen medical service delivery and address staffing needs across urban and rural institutions.
According to the order, promotions were made under Rule 10(a) of the Telangana State and Subordinate Service Rules, 1996, to fill existing vacancies across hospitals and health offices.
The promoted officers have been directed to assume their new postings within 15 days of receiving the orders. Officials said this phase of promotions complements ongoing recruitment to reduce shortages and enhance supervisory capacity in government facilities.
In parallel, three Deputy Directors have been promoted and posted as follows: Smt. N. Krishnaveni, Joint Director (Administration), O/o DME, Hyderabad; Smt. Shweta Monga, Joint Director (Administration), O/o MHSRB; and B. Manjunath Naik, CIO, NHM.
These postings are intended to improve administrative efficiency and program oversight at key directorates and missions.
