Health Emergency Should Be There In Telangana: Jeevan

Hyderabad, Aug.19 (Maxim News): Congress Party MLC T. Jeevan Reddy said proclamation of health emergency in the state. Citing the statement of the governor Tamilisai Soundararajan he said that the health emergency was needed in the state as the governor herself had openly accepted that the state government had failed in preventing the spread of COVID-19 in the state.

He demanded the state government to extend the coronavirus treatment free of cost to the poor people of the state. He also demanded the central government to include the COVID-19 disease into its Ayushman Bharat scheme. Referring to the warnings of state health minister Etela Rajender to the managements of the private hospitals which are fleecing the COVID-19 patients to the of lakhs, he mocked that the warnings did not have any impact on the private hospitals. He said that it was unfortunate that the state government had not implemented its promise made during its cabinet meeting to hold 40,000 tests per day in the state. He also alleged that the state government had failed to implement the high court orders on the issue. (Maxim News)
