Health Minister’s Surprise Visit to Gandhi Hospital: Action Ordered Against Absentee Doctors

Hyderabad, Mar 4 (Maxim News): Minister for Medical, Health and Family Welfare, Damodar Rajanarsimha made a surprise visit to Gandhi Hospital. The minister went directly to the outpatient ward and spoke to the patients in the OP. The Minister checked the attendance sheet of the doctors and ordered the higher officials to take action against the doctors who were absent from duty without prior notice.

The Minister expressed dissatisfaction over the unavailability of professors and associate professors who should be in the OP and ordered the Superintendent and DME to issue show cause notices and seek an explanation. The minister inspected the OP, IP, MCH, IVF, OP diagnostic services, and scanning wards. The minister expressed anger over the delay in IVF services and ordered the DME to issue a show cause to the doctors concerned.

Minister Damodar Rajanarsimha said that action will be taken against absent doctors. He made it clear that anyone who is absent during duty will not be ignored. The minister said that the government’s goal is to provide better services to the poor.  (Maxim News)
