Health Services Improves in Telangana: Harish Rao

Hyderabad, May 26 (Maxim News): Minister for Health T Harish Rao said that the health services at government hospitals across the Telangana State have improved drastically compared to the previous Congress regime.

Harish Rao along with Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav visited the 50 bedded hospital at Ameerpet here on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, Harish Rao said that the State government under the leadership of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is giving huge priority to the health and education and the medical facilities have reached at the door step of the common man in Telangana.

Denying the remarks of Congress leader Geetha Reddy who alleged that the poor people are denied the services at the government hospitals, Harish Rao said there were in only three government medical hospitals in Telangana during the Congress regime and now, all 33 districts are having its own medical college in the State.

Stating that the footfall at the government hospitals has increased unprecedentedly across the State, the Minister said the institutional deliveries were reported only 30 percent in the combined Andhra Pradesh and since the formation of Telangana State, it’s percentage has increased upto 56 percent.

With the launch of T-diagnostic centres, all the major diseases are being diagnosed at free of cost. On the other hand, over 17 lakh KCR Kits have been supplied in Telangana, the Health Minister said. (Maxim News)
