Heavy Rain Warning | Hyderabad, Sept. 27: Telangana is bracing for continued heavy rain as the Meteorological Department has issued alerts for the next two days. The state has been experiencing torrential rains for the past ten days, with Hyderabad facing severe waterlogging and traffic disruptions.

Meteorological officials warned that heavy to very heavy rains are expected in several districts including Nirmal, Nizamabad, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Hanumakonda, Jangaon, Siddipet, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak, Kamareddy, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet, Jogulamba, and Gadwal. Moderate to heavy rainfall is anticipated in Adilabad, Komuram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Jagtial, Rajanna Sircilla, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Ranga Reddy, Hyderabad, and Medchal Malkajgiri districts.

Heavy Rain Warning:

In Hyderabad, torrential rain during the evenings and nights has submerged main roads and internal streets, creating pond-like conditions. Motorists are facing severe difficulties, with traffic jams lasting for hours. The heavy rainfall has also caused localized power outages in several areas. Tragically, three people were washed away in a drain in Musheerabad due to the recent floods, highlighting the dangers posed by continued heavy rains.

Officials have also warned of possible thunder and lightning in multiple districts over the weekend. Short-term forecasts indicate that Sanagreddy, Vikarabad, Medak, Kamareddy, Yadadri, and Bhuvanagiri are likely to experience moderate to heavy rainfall in the next two hours. Hyderabad city is expected to continue facing torrential rain in the evening and night. Residents are advised to avoid non-essential travel, stay indoors, and follow all official weather updates.

Authorities have urged people to remain vigilant and take precautionary measures to minimize disruptions caused by the ongoing heavy rainfall.
