Heavy Rains Disrupt Train Services: Several Trains Cancelled
Hyderabad, Aug 28 (Maxim News): The South Central Railway (SCR) has issued urgent bulletins announcing the cancellation and diversion of several trains due to heavy rains leading to water overflowing on tracks in the Bhiknur–Talmadla and Akanapet–Medak sections of the Hyderabad Division.
According to official press releases, a number of trains operating between key stations such as Kacheguda, Nanded, Akola, and Nizamabad have been cancelled on August 28 and 29.
Trains like 17642 (Narkher–Kacheguda), 17057 (CST Mumbai–Kacheguda), and 17636 (Akola–Kacheguda) are among those completely cancelled as a precautionary measure due to the inclement weather and track flooding.
In addition, some trains are partially cancelled, notably with sections between Nizamabad and Medak, and Medak and Kacheguda, being suspended on the affected dates.
Train 17662 (Nagarsol–Kacheguda) scheduled for August 28, is being rerouted via Parbhani, Parli, Vikarabad, Secunderabad, and Kacheguda, with stoppages between Parbhani and Sitaphalmandi being skipped.
The SCR authorities assured that restoration works are ongoing and regular updates will be provided as the situation evolves. (Maxim News)
