Heavy Rains In Telangana: Orange Alert In These Districts

Hyderabad, Sept 13 (Maxim News): The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has announced that there is a possibility of heavy rains in the state of Telangana in the coming days. It has warned that there is a possibility of very heavy rains in five districts of the state, especially today (Saturday). To this extent, an orange alert has been issued for Nirmal, Nizamabad, Sangareddy, Medak and Kamareddy districts. The Meteorological Department has stated that there is a possibility of thundershowers and strong gusty winds in these districts.

The Meteorological Department has said that not only these five districts, but also 19 other districts are likely to receive heavy rains. A yellow alert has been issued for these districts. Although there is no major danger due to the rains in these districts, there is a possibility of problems in some areas. Due to this, traffic problems and irrigation problems are likely to arise in urban areas like Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Medchal Malkajgiri.

Although there have been scattered rains in Telangana for the past few days, weather experts say that the intensity of the rains has increased due to the active monsoon. They said that these rains are due to a low pressure area formed in the Bay of Bengal. It is likely to continue for another two to three days.

On behalf of the government, orders have been issued to the district administrations to be alert and to issue appropriate warnings to the people. It has been suggested that steps be taken to move people in low-lying areas to safer places and to ensure that power problems do not arise. The Water Resources Department has also been asked to be alert and monitor the water levels of rivers and ponds. Officials have also advised people to take personal precautions and to be aware of the weather conditions before leaving their homes. (Maxim News)
