Hyderabad, Sept. 13: Heavy rains are likely in several Telangana districts on Sunday amid low pressure conditions over the Bay of Bengal.
The Hyderabad Meteorological Centre has issued a Yellow Alert for four districts. Adilabad, Kumram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial and Peddapalli may receive heavy rains.
Meanwhile, other parts of the state may receive light to moderate rains. Some areas could also witness isolated showers during the day.
The weather office has also issued a Yellow Alert for Monday. Rainfall is likely across several northern and eastern districts.
According to the Meteorological Centre, rainfall is likely in Adilabad, Asifabad, Mancherial and Nirmal on Monday.

Moreover, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem and Khammam remain under the forecast area. Nalgonda and Suryapet may also receive rainfall.
The forecast follows significant rainfall across several districts during the previous 24 hours. Rebbena in Kumram Bheem Asifabad recorded the highest rainfall.

Around 2,172 cusecs of floodwater is flowing into the Vattivagu and Kumram Bheem projects, according to the available information.
The increased inflows follow the rainfall recorded across the district and nearby areas. Authorities are monitoring the situation as the weather system continues to influence Telangana.
The low pressure conditions over the Bay of Bengal are expected to support further rainfall over the state. Therefore, several districts could see more showers over the next two days.
Residents in the districts under Yellow Alert should remain cautious during heavy rain. People in low lying areas should also stay alert as water levels and local flooding can change quickly.
The latest forecast indicates that rains will remain widespread across Telangana, with heavier spells likely in selected districts. The Meteorological Centre is expected to monitor the system and issue further updates based on its movement and intensity.
