High Court Comments on Mohan Babu Family Dispute: Excessive interference is inappropriate

Mohan Babu Family Dispute | Hyderabad, December 12: The Telangana High Court on Wednesday expressed concern over the excessive involvement of the police and media in the ongoing family feud of veteran actor Mohan Babu.

The court emphasized the need to give the family time to deal with the issues on their own. It also states that legal action should only be considered when the matter remains unresolved.

During an emergency hearing on Wednesday afternoon, Manchu Mohan Babu and his son Vishnu filed pleas against the police notices directing them to come for investigation. Justice B. Vijayasena Reddy presided.

Counsel for the petitioners, Murli Manohar and Mohammad Danzir, said the Pahadi Sharif police had registered a case and issued notices based on a complaint filed by Mohan Babu’s younger son Manchu Manoj. The prosecutor alleged that Manoj and bouncers were creating trouble at his house and sought police protection, which was not provided.

The prosecution clarified that cases were registered against Manoj and Mohan Babu on mutual complaints. Information is a routine part of the investigation, they said. Besides, the prosecution referred to another case against Mohan Babu for allegedly assaulting a journalist.

After hearing both sides, the court issued an interim order to issue police notices to Mohan Babu and Vishnu to attend the investigation. The judge, however, rejected Mohanbabu’s request for police to be sent to his house and instead ordered the police to monitor the situation every two hours. The inquiry was adjourned until December 24.
