The hearing was adjourned for six weeks to submit a report on the incidents of students falling ill after eating spoiled meals. During the hearing of the case, the Assistant Advocate General (AAG) explained to the bench that the government had formed two committees in the incidents of spoiled meals. He said that those responsible for these incidents have already been suspended.

The AAG said that the money paid to agencies for providing quality meals to students has been increased by 40 percent. Senior Advocate Chikudu Prabhakar argued on behalf of the petitioner. It was brought to the attention of the court that there should be village, mandal, district, and state-level committees under the Pradhan Mantri Poshan scheme.  He asked to give instructions so that the committees work properly.  The AAG committee replied that everything was working well.  The High Court recorded the details.
