High Court Orders Report On The Measures Taken In Flood-Affected Areas

Hyderabad, July 28 (Maxim News): The High Court of Telangana has ordered the KCR government to submit a report on the measures taken in the flood-affected areas to help the flood victims in Telangana.

The High Court has taken up the hearing on the petition filed by Dr. Chruku Sudhakar on the relief measures taken by the government on the heavy rains and floods that have fallen in Telangana for the past few days. the petitioner’s lawyer Chi kudu Prabhakar brought to the attention of the court that due to the heavy rains, the people living in the surrounding areas of various projects in the state are in fear.

Hearing the arguments, the tribunal responded.  “How many people died in the floods?  Has compensation been paid to the affected families?  Have the people of the flooded areas been moved to safer areas, or not? What kind of facilities are provided in the rehabilitation centers?  has a control room been set up for flood monitoring and assistance?  Action should be taken as per the Dam Conservation Act.  The report should be submitted with complete details by July 31, the High Court ordered.
