During the hearing on the disqualification petitions of the MLAs on September 9, the Division Bench of the Telangana High Court mainly discussed three issues. Disqualification petitions against three MLAs Danam Nagender, Kadiam Srihari, and Tellam Venkatarao who joined the Congress after winning the BRS are pending with the Assembly Secretary. The matter related to those pending petitions should be taken to the Speaker. Arguments should be heard on points of disqualification. Also, the schedule should be finalized. The essence of the judgment is to submit a status report related to all these to the High Court.

It has decided to take a decision and submit a status report to them within four weeks. But the four-week deadline given by the court is about to expire. At this juncture two days ago the Secretary of the Assembly approached the Division Bench. It has been stated in the petition that the judgment given by the single bench should be stayed. Three separate petitions were filed in this regard. The petitions were heard in the High Court today. During the hearing, the Advocate General sought a stay on the matter and an interim order.
