HILTP Political Row Intensifies in Telangana
Hyderabad, Dec. 2 (Maxim News) : The political dispute over the HILTP Hyderabad Industrial Land Transformation Policy continued without pause.
BRS accused the Congress government of planning a five lakh crore land scam under the HILTP framework. The party escalated its campaign and moved into an organised fact finding phase.
KTR formed eight fact finding committees with senior leaders across Telangana. He said these teams would tour industrial zones under HILTP and explain the government’s approach to the public.
KTR addressed the committees through teleconference. He said the teams must place the facts before citizens. He claimed the government converted land meant for industries into zones for real estate activity.
He said previous governments allotted land at low prices to create jobs. He argued that the current administration planned to regularise nearly nine thousand three hundred acres at only thirty percent of the SRO rate.
Moreover, he said this move would drain public wealth worth five lakh crore rupees. He also said the government denied land for housing and cremation grounds while handing valuable land to private groups.
